ANC’s Cathy Yang chosen to attend the Wharton Seminars for Business Journalists
The program aims to help business journalists improve their reporting skills and gain valuable insights through faculty lectures and dynamic discussion.
Cathy Yang, anchor and managing editor of the ABS-CBN News Channel, has been chosen as one of the select few journalists to attend the Wharton Seminars for Business Journalists.
The program, which is set to take place in Hong Kong on June 22, aims to help business journalists improve their reporting skills and gain valuable insights through faculty lectures and dynamic discussion.
Apart from this, the Market Edge anchor has also been invited to attend the Wharton Global Forum, set to also happen this week in Hong Kong.
“Delighted to be selected for the The Wharton School seminars for #business #journalists and invited for the Wharton Global Forum in my favourite home city outside my own, #HongKong. See you soon! #MEWCY #BusinessNightly #TheBossANC @ancalerts #WhartonBizJourn @WhartonSchoolPR #WhartonSchoolPR,” Yang wrote in a post on her Facebook page Friday.
The Wharton Seminars for Business Journalists, which is known as the premier business education program of its kind, has offered more than 2,000 journalists in print, broadcast, and electronic media the opportunity to expand their knowledge of business, as well as to increase their exposure to leading experts, and broaden their perspectives in a stimulating environment.
It was founded, according to its website, by the Wharton Communications Office in 1968 with the goal of helping journalists gain a better understanding of key business issues.
In recent years, participants for the said program have come from news organizations such as ABC News, CNN, Forbes, The Economist, Wall Street Journal and The New York Times, among others.
