Anchors of ‘Storycon’ and ‘The Big Story’ team up for ‘Safe House’

Anchors of Storycon and The Big Story have teamed up for the launch of Safe House, a new addition to the Long Conversation talk strip on One News.

Hosted by Patrick Paez, Ed Lingao, Ronald Llamas, Regina Lay, Shawn Yao, and Gretchen Ho, Safe House brings together some of the network’s top journalists for open discussions on various issues.

For its premiere episode, the hosts discussed the reported dismissal of Ani Almario, an education advocate who was appointed assistant secretary for curriculum and teaching at the Department of Education in October.

The episode also covered the political rise of the Tulfo brothers. With Erwin and Ben Tulfo leading in polls for next year’s Senate race, the hosts examined their differences, public personas, and the possibility of them forming an alliance in the Senate if elected.

The hosts also playfully touched on Lingao’s past conflict with Erwin Tulfo. Viewers may recall their 2017 spat after Lingao criticized Tulfo for falling for fake news.

Safe House airs every Wednesday at 9:30PM on One News.
