Coming soon to CNN Philippines: its first Filipino-language newscast, to be headlined by former ABS-CBN News anchor Pinky Webb.
The network has unveiled an official promo teaser for the program, in preparation for its official launch in April.
No official details about the program have been released yet, but sources are telling us that it will likely take over the 12 noon slot now occupied by Newsroom with Claire Celdran.
The network has yet to confirm if there is indeed a shakeup in their current lineup, and whether Celdran’s program will be moved to a different timeslot, or will be cancelled, to give way to Webb’s first project at the local CNN station.
As reported in this space, Webb has officially joined CNN Philippines after an almost two-decade career at ABS-CBN Channel 2.
