Yong Chavez scores nomination at the 60th ICG Publicists Awards
Chavez will go head-to-head with fellow entertainment journalists from the UK, Australia and Northern Ireland.
Yong Chavez has scored another nomination at the 60th Annual ICG Publicists Awards.
The ABS-CBN Hollywood correspondent, who over the years has become a member of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and the Hollywood Critics Association, is nominated for an International Media Award at the said award-giving body.
Chavez, who was nominated for the same category last year, will go head-to-head this time around with fellow entertainment journalists from the UK, Australia and Northern Ireland, namely Dan Jolin of Empire, Garry Maddox of Sydney Morning Herald, Zachary Ntim of Deadline, Helen O’Hara of Empire, and Adam Tanswell of Total Film.
“Thank you to all Hollywood publicists and international publicists for making this happen. Thank you for pushing and working hard so that we could have a chance to tell the stories of our communities and for us POC journalists to be in global events. I know it’s not easy. But I’m so grateful for you in your fight alongside us to keep us represented in Hollywood. We have had so many experiences together in this industry and to be recognized by all of you is quite simply amazing,” Chavez said of her nomination.
The ICG Publicists Awards is an annual event that honors individual publicists, unit still photographers, and entertainment journalists that facilitate film and television publicity campaigns.
The winners will be announced at a luncheon ceremony on March 10 at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, California.
