UST honors One News and One PH senior manager Jove Francisco
Francisco was the lone awardee in the field of Media, Visual, Sports, and Performing Arts.
Veteran journalist Jove Francisco was honored in a big way during the recently concluded Thomasian Outstanding Alumni Scientists Tribute (TOAST) Awards by the University of Santo Tomas College of Science Alumni Association.
Francisco, whose full name is Jovenal Francisco, Jr., was the lone awardee in the field of Media, Visual, Sports, and Performing Arts. Other UST alums who were honored during a ceremony on campus on April 1st were Manila Mayor Maria Sheilah Honrado “Honey” Lacuna-Pangan, acting DOH Secretary Dr. Maria Rosario Singh-Vergeire, and health reform advocate Dr. Tony Leachon, among others.
Francisco, now the senior manager for content and channels for both One News and One PH, graduated from UST with a degree in BS Biology in 1991. He is the founding president of the UST Biology Society.
Speaking of the recognition, he said, “Maraming salamat, UST! Salamat, UST College of Science!”
TOAST, which started in 2017, is considered the highest recognition given by the UST College of Science to its graduates.
