First look at One News’ new documentary program ‘Gretchen Ho Reports’

Gretchen Ho is set to expand her role beyond delivering the evening news as co-anchor of The Big Story. Starting tonight at 7, July 14, Ho will also be headlining her first in-depth long-form documentary program, aptly titled Gretchen Ho Reports.

For its premiere episode, Ho delves into the West Philippine Sea issue with an episode titled “Kalboro.”

On her Facebook page, Ho provided a glimpse of what the viewers should expect: “Taking off from the second civilian convoy, we focused our lens on Kalboro, being a microcosm of the complexities of the conflict between China and the Philippines. We traced back to how 3 administrations have dealt with the disputes at sea, the Aquino, Duterte and Marcos administrations, in the face of an emboldened China determined to redefine its role in the world. How did we get to this point? How are the fishermen a decade after the 2012 standoff?”

Gretchen Ho Reports, which is among the new programs at One News, will air monthly, with replays scheduled throughout the month. Ho will serve not only as its presenter/documentarist, but also as its writer, with production handled by the Cignal team.
