One News’ business news program Money Talks with Cathy Yang has earned back-to-back nominations at two regional award-giving bodies: the 2025 Asian Television Awards (ATA) and the 2025 Asian Academy Creative Awards (AACA).

The Cignal-produced business news program, anchored by veteran business journalist Cathy Yang, is nominated in the Best News Programme category at both award-giving bodies, which are set to take place in November in Jakarta and December in Singapore, respectively.

Money Talks has already been named the Philippine national winner in the said category at the AACA and will represent the country at the upcoming Grand Gala Final.

Expressing her gratitude, Yang said: “To all the jurors, our deepest gratitude. To my incredible team at Money Talks, you all rock. 🤘🎸And to our Cignal family, maraming salamat sa walang humpay na suporta!”

Another Philippine entry that made it to the ATA’s list of nominees in the same category this year is PTV News Tonight, produced by state-run People’s Television Network. The remaining nominees for both award-giving bodies include entries from other broadcasters across the Asia-Pacific region, such as BBC News (China), Bloomberg TV (Hong Kong), Fuji Television Network (Japan), and TVBS (Taiwan), among others.

Money Talks, which premiered only this year, is part of One News’ daytime programming lineup, alongside Morning Matters with Gretchen Ho and News & Views.

Yang — a multiple ATA winner and the first Filipino to ever win an AACA for Best News Presenter in 2019 — continues to lead Cignal TV’s business news coverage through Money Talks, her first daily program since returning to television full-time this year.

Since its premiere in February, the program has built a strong following within the business community for its credible and insightful coverage of financial and economic issues across the country and the Asia-Pacific region. It has also become a regular stop for some of the industry’s most prominent business and finance leaders.
